Who we are
BFImpact LLC (“BFImpact,” “we,” “us”) builds and operates websites and front-office software for local service businesses — the “client businesses” that hire us. Our software answers their phone calls and website chats, captures customer enquiries, books appointments, and alerts their staff.
This policy covers bfimpactusa.com, our demonstration environments, and the software we operate on behalf of client businesses. Reach us any time at hello@bfimpactusa.com.
Text messaging and your mobile information
We do not share or sell mobile opt-in data. No mobile information — including phone numbers collected for text messaging and the consent given to receive those messages — is shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. All other categories of data described in this policy exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.
Text messages we send are operational alerts to the staff of a client business — for example, notifying an owner or an on-call technician that a customer has reported an emergency. They are not marketing messages.
- How numbers are provided. A client business owner enters their own mobile number, and those of their technicians, into the private administrative dashboard of their service. The setting is clearly labeled as enabling text alerts to that number.
- Message frequency varies and depends on how often emergencies occur. There is no recurring schedule.
- Message and data rates may apply from your mobile carrier.
- Opting out. Reply STOP to any message to stop receiving them. Reply HELP for assistance, or email hello@bfimpactusa.com.
- Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
Information we collect
From the customers of a client business
When someone calls or chats with a client business through our software, we collect what they tell us in order to pass it to that business:
- Name, phone number, and service address
- A description of the job or problem, and any appointment booked
- Call and chat records, including transcripts and recordings created by our telephony and voice providers
This information belongs to the client business. We process it on their behalf so they can return the call and do the work.
From client businesses
Business contact details, service and pricing information, staff names and mobile numbers, schedules, and billing information.
From visitors to bfimpactusa.com
If you try our public demonstration and ask us to personalize it, we collect the business name, trade, town, and any email address you provide, so we can follow up. Our sites use minimal, functional analytics and do not run advertising trackers.
How we use information
- To answer calls and messages, capture enquiries, and book appointments for client businesses
- To alert a client business and its staff about new and urgent work
- To operate, support, secure, and improve our software
- To bill for our services and to respond to you when you contact us
- To comply with law and enforce our terms
We do not sell personal information. We do not use the customer information of a client business to market anything to those customers.
Service providers
We use a small number of vendors to run the service — for telephony and messaging, voice and language processing, database hosting, and application hosting. They may process information only to provide services to us, under contract, and may not use it for their own purposes.
As stated above, text messaging opt-in data and consent are excluded from any sharing and are never provided to third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.
We may also disclose information where required by law, to protect our rights or someone’s safety, or as part of a business transfer — in which case this policy continues to apply.
Retention and security
We keep information for as long as we provide the service to the client business, and afterwards only as needed for legal, accounting, or dispute-resolution purposes. Client data is deleted or returned on request when an engagement ends.
We protect information with access controls, encrypted connections, and credentialed administrative access. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Your choices
- Stop text messages at any time by replying STOP
- Ask what information we hold about you, or ask us to correct or delete it
- If you are a customer of a client business, contact that business directly — or email us and we will route your request to them
Children
Our services are for businesses and are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.
Changes
We will post any changes on this page and update the date above. Material changes affecting client businesses will be communicated directly.
